Composting

Composting is a Process that helps to Minimize the Organic Waste Content in a Eco-Friendly - Biological method by digesting the Organic substance with the help of Microorganisms.

The Composting process required suitable Moisture, Temperature and pH in the material, By turning the material in frequent interval and managing the suitable moisture will improves the growth of Microorganisms which are involving in the composting process, We can also add Microbial Cultures which contains the Thermophilic Bacteria and other Organisms which are involving in the Composting Process, that will help us to increase the Composting rate and minimize the composting timing.

Aerobic Composting

Done in Open Air in a Platform or In Pits- Suitable for Big Volume Composting

Examples:

  • Windrow Composting - Aeration-Windrow Platforms used in this Method,
  • Vermi-composting – Earth Worms used in Vermi-composting Pits / Grow bags to Digest the Organic Materials

Anerobic Composting

Done in Closed Chambers or In Containers – Suitable for Minimum Volume or Method used for Gas/Power Generation,

Eg: Biogen-AD Plants, Bio-Methanation Plants etc

In both methods we can separate the Compost by following/Using Size reduction Mechanisms to separate the Compost from the reject/ Inorganic materials
